These days all cement or clinker plants are designed to include vertical suspension pre-heater towers. These have also largely replaced travelling grates. Most towers are equipped with a pre-calciner. The installation of an immersion tube, which is also known as a Vortex finder or a dipping tube, is important with regard to fuel consumption, electrical energy and stability of production. The plant will be much more economical with one in place.
